Sedit Qui Timuit Ne Non Succederet
As for the technicalities... This layout features art from the Touhou Project by Team Shanghai Alice. It was created with the help of Adobe Photoshop CS2, with a tables code, generated in Adobe Imageready (which was then later edited in Notepad). It is best viewed in a screen resolution of 1024*768 and up, but can be viewed in 800*600 screens as well. It was created by Harper.
As for the designing process... I really wish I had attempted to take a Latin class since I'm now hopelessly in love with it's phrases. They're so cryptic and elegant I think. But that's besides the point. Anyways, as for the actual designing of this one, it was quite a bleary, dream-like process since I was paying attention to it and not at the same time. But I have really come to love the bleariness of it as well as the dreaminess of the colors. In fact, the color scheme was inspired by this silky, vintage-like, high waisted skirt that I am wearing to my Aunt's birthday party. It's a skirt I definitely love for it's romanticism. The bottom line: I'm pleased with that skirt, as well as this layout. :) As for the title... Hydrophily is actually a rare method of pollination in which the pollen of a flower is spread by a flowing water source. I chose it as a title because I wanted it to have something to do with florals, since there are flowers in both girls' hair and the sound of this particular word was really striking to me. So I chose it. Testing the Text
The following is a presentation of text in a blockquote, as bolded, as italicized, as underlined, and as hyperlinked. All is formatted in the CSS and controlled by their respective tags.
"EVERYONE, at some point in their lives, wakes up in the middle of the night with the feeling that they are all alone in the world, and that nobody loves them now and that nobody will ever love them, and that they will never have a decent night's sleep again and will spend their lives wandering blearily around a loveless landscape, hoping desperately that their circumstances will improve, but suspecting, in their heart of hearts, that they will remain unloved forever. The best thing to do in these circumstances is to wake somebody else up, so that they can feel this way, too." - Lemony Snicket"And I hope this makes you happy now. That the flame we had is burning out. And I hope you like your pictures facing down as even broken hearts may have their doubts." - Mayday Parade's "If You Wanted a Song Written About You, All You Had to Do Was Ask" Installation
