ich hab nichts gesagt

Surprisingly, this is the first layout where I actually listened to music while in the actual designing process. Perhaps this is significant since I normally I would think music to be more or less distracting, but it really didn't detract from anything I think. I mostly listened to my iTouch on shuffle with Hero by Nas, Champagne's for Celebrating by Mayday Parade & Secret Valentine by We the Kings being some of the songs that came up.
As for the design itself, I never really realized that it would be the second Little Red Riding Hood related layout in our layout archive (the first being Juvinele by Ty). Nevertheless, I've been really infatuated with Takeda Hinata work since the clean lolita-type aesthetic is something I've always adored. And just so you know, I'm trying to make this the last layout of my "blue phase" since I want to get back to the earlier Anxiety layout style where Tyler & I flirted with colors mercilessly. :) Call it our own "renaissance", I suppose.
And as a side note, the layout title Mercurial is actually a nod to Mercutio in Romeo and Juliet and is my favorite character there. His cynical attitude really appeals to me I guess.

Installation

Here's an extremely brief guide to installing a layout. If you have any further questions, feel free to head over to Anxiety's contact page and ask them.
  • First, download the file from the main layout page.
  • Upload the zip file to your server and unzip the files.
  • Next, open the html page and edit the designated areas, like the navigation, content area, and introduction box (if there is one). And you're all done.
